Loro Parque is up north, in Puerto de la Cruz, and it easily fills a whole day: the biggest parrot collection on the planet, gorillas, an aquarium tunnel and a penguin house kept at snow temperature. From the south it is a good hour by road, so the day is worth planning. I am not the park: I get you the tickets, tell you how to get there without losing the morning, and there is a combined ticket with Siam Park if you fancy both.
