Almost always, and not because we’re clever: the pilot whales live here year-round. We never chase them — you approach slowly and cut the engine, then it’s up to them.
Approaching cetaceans needs a specific permit, with rules on distance and time. Boats carrying the blue sighting flag have it — those are the ones we put you on.
Two to four hours depending on the boat. The four-hour trips are the ones that also give you the swim and the snorkelling: if you have the time, take those.
Take the morning trip, when the ocean is flattest, and sit at the stern: far less movement. Message me first and I’ll tell you the right day of the week.
